TempleCare Cooking – The Class is a fun and informative cooking party where you get experience making meals that are good to you and good for you.
Small group interactive classes and remote learning opportunities are available.
Pasta is the world’s favorite food. It is inexpensive, easy to prepare, and the many shapes, types and textures provide lip-licking vehicles for a wide variety of accompanying sauces and stuffings.
It is estimated that the average person in North America eats 15 1/2 lbs of pasta a year and many find that pounds of pasta on their plates too easily translate to pounds on the scale. That doesn’t have to be the case.
In Pasta Perfection, participants will:
- learn pasta categories, their best uses and cooking methods
- identify pitfalls that make this food a challenge for healthy eating
- explore strategies to healthfully enjoy delicious pasta dishes
- examine the use of some health building strategies in a crawfish fettuccini recipe remake
