A 92 year old woman sat in her wheel chair, waiting to be rolled down the aisle of the nursing home chapel to marry – for the fourth time. During the wait, a young nursing assistant sitting nearby engaged her in conversation and the woman fondly shared about her first three husbands and current fiancé.
She shared that her first husband was a responsible older man in banking. Her second second husband, a young buck and love of her life, worked for the circus. Her third husband was a kind and caring minister of the Gospel, and the man she would shortly marry was a mortician.
The aide contemplating marriage herself, asked why she chose those men as they did not seem to have much in common.
The old woman paused thoughtfully and with a smile replied, “I chose one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready and four to go!”
