My heart has been so heavy. Saddened by the recent passing of two beautiful productive young women. One, a dear sister in Christ I’ve known and admired for 18 years. The other, I’ve never met, but was touched by her story. Both were mothers to small children. Both loved the Lord, lived full lives and touched many people. Both left this world unexpectedly and as we think and say ‘too soon’. I know God is in control, yet the question Why? kept coming to mind. Some things are not for us to know. Through persistent prayer for their families, the Holy Spirit comforted, reminded and refocused with the following truths and calls:
- Tomorrow is not promised.
- God is good. Slow down, look for and appreciate the good He grants in all things, big and small.
- Value and nurture connections.
- Pour into others.
- Know and live your God given purpose.
