Last week, I was blessed to travel with several sisters from the Women’s Ministry of New Hope Baptist Church to the Unwrap the Bible Conference sponsored by Women of Faith.

The Sisters at New Hope are a gift. We had wonderful sharing and fellowship. I love my church family!
Thousands of women from across the country came together to study God’s Word with five anointed Bible teachers. Each teacher focused on a woman in the Bible, but unfolded their lives in a new and meaningful way.
Sheila Walsh in her poised and polished style walked John 4, showing the divine appointment, broken woman and transformed life of the Samaritan woman at the well.
Charlotte Gambill shared a powerful and moving exploration of the Shunammite woman from 2 Kings 4. She artfully related the woman’s journey to how we our handle dreams and disappointments, and the faith required to move from ‘doorways’, through ‘hallways’ to the ‘gateway’ of our blessings.
Lisa Harper kept me laughing and thinking the entire weekend. Her knowledge of the Bible, personal life story and exploration of the midwives of Exodus 1 challenged us to put aside comfort, safety and convenience and take risks to honor Jesus.
I’m currently studying the Breathe study by Priscilla Shirer, and her teaching was my draw to this conference. Through an exploration of the widow at Zarephath, she showed how we can triumphantly “Deal with Deficiency.”
Christine Caine with tremendous passion, shared Mary from Luke 1 in a call to be willing to be interrupted and step up as soldiers at war against the kingdom of darkness.
The teachers had different styles, but there was unity in the use of their spiritual gift and passion to increase Biblical knowledge, grow faith and empower women toward action. I was convicted, inspired and changed.
