Our bodies were made to move, but most people live highly sedentary lives. This negatively impacts health and wellness. Medical researchers declare “Sitting is the New Smoking” as studies indicate a sedentary lifestyle not only causes weight gain and joint damage, but diabetes, heart disease and even cancer.
Pew 2 Pavement is a training program supports, encourages and equips members of the body of Christ to embrace the discipline of walking/running as an act of worship and stewardship. Program participants will receive an eight week customized training plan that starts at their current level of activity/fitness, and progresses safely and effectively towards your appropriate goal.
It is a perfect opportunity for beginners to get started, and experienced walkers or runners can set their sights and train for that PR (personal record).
