What has God laid on your heart that remains incomplete?

For decades, I’ve talked, taught, and written about challenges, experiences, and the lessons that came with them. I know in my soul that what God carries us through is not all about or for us. It should glorify Him and help others.

For three years, people who attended my trainings and followed my blog encouraged me to write a book.

The next two years, I prayed about it, partnering that prayer with procrastination.

Then, I spent eighteen months researching, taking courses, and attending writer’s conferences. I wanted to learn how to write and self-publish a book that did not look self-published. That season was planning and preparation, with procrastination hanging tough.

Then I committed to God, partnered with Him, and did my work.

In three months, I wrote and published my first book, Put Your Faith Where Your Fork Is.

Put Your Faith Where Your Fork Is by Nettye Johnson

Y’all, it is so fulfilling to hear from readers how this book helped them shift their mindset, adjust daily behaviors, and develop a relationship with food that honors God through care for the body.

I am grateful for the opportunity to teach and speak from this book, and how it has been foundational in the expansion of my science-based, faith-empowered advocacy work.

It is an honor to share with and support others.

This book is also special to me because of the personal lesson lived.
Purpose procrastinated.
Purpose nurtured.
Purpose realized.

Today is 12/12.
In Scripture, twelve represents completion.
God completes.

In this season, in what specific way are we called to partner with God and display this element of His character?

Many of us are carrying ideas, callings, and assignments we have been sitting with for far too long. This book is evidence that completion is possible when obedience and effort meet God’s timing.

With this significance on my mind, today we offered signed and gift-wrapped copies of Put Your Faith Where Your Fork Is with special pricing of $12.12 as part of our 2025 12 Days of TempleCare.

The 12 Days of TempleCare is a curated series of daily offerings designed to support thoughtful stewardship of the body, faith, and daily life.

Each day highlights a resource, experience, or opportunity connected to sustainable well-being and practical application.
