Greater Baton Rouge area parents: Check out Pretend Play Party, a wonderful Children’s Museum inspired play center in Denham Springs.
With over 17 play areas, it facilitates interactive, educational and imaginative play for kids ages 0-8. Play areas included a vet clinic, chic dress up boutique, construction zone, home sweet home, geometry puzzles, fire department, transportation hub, castle clubhouse , Hollywood red carpet walk, theater stage, toddler area, checkers table, potato head table, Melissa and Doug builder table, a diner, grocery store, art studio, book nook, puppet stand, and space exploration scene.
My first visit there was with my daughter’s Pre-K class for a field trip. Imaginations ran wild but the kids did not. Parents/guardians play with their children… this is not a drop off spot. The space is not huge, but it is laid out very well, all areas are well appointed and clean. Pricing is very reasonable and they are available for parties. With summer coming, we will definitely be back.
