As a coach and self-care strategist, I’ve seen firsthand how important boundaries are to wellness and fulfillment.Imagine your life as a winding road. Just as guardrails help drivers navigate tricky curves and stay on the road, boundaries help us stay on track (and in our lane) along life’s journey.Boundaries are not ‘walls’ that limit, hinder or harm.They are blessings that honor our needs/values and guide our growth.When we honor boundaries in our relationships, work, and personal lives, we create space for purposeful progress, meaningful connections, self-care, peace and joy. In coaching high-performing women, I find the struggle to identify and prioritize wellness needs and maintain protective boundaries is far too prevalent. I can relate. For years, I ignored the value of boundaries - neglecting to set/hold them for myself and bucking boundaries set by others. Thank God for change. I’ve come to realize boundaries are beautiful.
