“Not my will, but Yours be done.” Luke 22:42
Every year, I look forward to The Road to Calvary—a special Holy Week worship series hosted by New Hope Baptist Church in conjunction with Second Baptist Church.
It’s a powerful time of praise, worship, and reflection leading up to Resurrection Sunday.
This year, I was blessed to share a meditation during Tuesday’s service. I was led to reflect on Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane—how He didn’t retreat from what was hard but surrendered fully to the Father’s will.
As we remember the road Jesus walked, I invite you to consider your own:
-
What are you facing?
-
What feels heavy?
-
Where is God calling you to trust and obey—even when it’s hard?
This meditation isn’t about avoiding hard things. It’s about meeting them with honesty, faith, and submission—just as Jesus did.
Scripture Focus: Matthew 26:36–42
